These Terms of Service govern access to and use of DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search, including hub search, hub profile pages, hub owner accounts, public hub submissions, generated hublist files, diagnostic tools, support requests, and related services. By using DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Who Operates The Service

DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search is operated as a public Direct Connect hub discovery and hublist service. The site is an independent project and is not operated by, endorsed by, or officially affiliated with DC++, AirDC++, Verlihub, PtokaX, Google, Facebook, or any hub software project unless that relationship is stated on the site.

2. What DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search Does

DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search lets visitors search public Direct Connect hubs, view hub profile pages, submit hubs for review, download generated hublist files, and use diagnostic tools for public hub addresses. The service may publish NMDC, NMDCS, ADC, and ADCS addresses, hub names, descriptions, topics, countries, software names, user counts, share size, reliability, status, and pinger results.

3. Eligibility

You must be old enough to use online services in your jurisdiction. If you create an account or submit a hub on behalf of an organization, hub team, or community, you confirm that you are allowed to do so.

4. Accounts

You may need an account to submit hubs, edit hub details, request support, or use administrative features. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that occurs through your account. Do not share administrator access, impersonate another hub owner, register duplicate accounts to bypass restrictions, or use account features to overload the service.

5. Account Deletion And Termination

You may request account deletion through available account tools or by contacting the site administrator. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access when an account appears to violate these Terms, the Hub Listing Guidelines, applicable law, or creates risk for users, hub owners, other hubs, or the application.

6. Hub Submissions And Public Hub Data

You are responsible for hub information you submit, edit, or ask the site to publish. A listing may include the hub name, host, port, protocol, country, description, topic, rules, software, public statistics, owner notes, pinger credentials, and status data. Submit only hubs you own, operate, or are authorized to list. Do not submit misleading addresses, copied hub identities, abusive descriptions, malware, scams, crawler traps, or data intended to harm users or the hublist infrastructure.

7. Generated Hublist Files And Dataset Use

DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search may generate downloadable hublist files such as hublist.xml.bz2, ADC-specific files, country files, JSON files, and client configuration outputs. These files are generated from public hub records and pinger results. You may download, cache, and use them for normal Direct Connect client configuration, hub discovery, interoperability testing, and non-abusive indexing. Do not misrepresent the source, sell access to the files as your own service, use them for spam, or use them to attack listed hubs.

8. License To Operate The Service

By submitting or editing hub data, you grant DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, display, validate, publish, cache, export, moderate, and delete that data as needed to operate the hublist, generate downloads, show hub pages, build search results, diagnose abuse, and maintain backups.

9. Your Use Of Hub Data

You may use public hub data for ordinary hub discovery, DC++ client hublist loading, research, and troubleshooting. You are responsible for how you use the data outside DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search. Do not treat a public listing as a guarantee that a third-party hub is safe, lawful, available, or operated by the person who submitted it.

10. Content Visibility And Search Indexing

Public hub pages, generated files, human sitemap pages, XML sitemaps, Open Graph metadata, and structured data may be crawled by search engines or downloaded by clients. Hub owners should assume submitted public hub information can be indexed, cached, quoted, mirrored, or loaded by DC++ clients.

11. Site Content And Intellectual Property

DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search, including its software, design, generated page text, templates, branding, interface, scripts, and operational documentation, is owned by or licensed to the site operator. You may not copy, modify, sell, or exploit site materials except as allowed by these Terms, by applicable law, or by written permission.

12. Rights Complaints

If a listing, description, icon, logo, or page on DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search violates your copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights, contact the site administrator with enough information to identify the content and review the claim. We may remove, restrict, or correct content that appears to violate another person's rights.

13. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search to submit illegal, hateful, abusive, harassing, deceptive, exploitative, malicious, or privacy-invasive content. You may not attack the service, scrape it in a way that harms performance, bypass access controls, abuse authentication or CAPTCHA systems, submit fake pinger data, inject malicious markup, upload hostile assets, or use automated tools in a way that harms users, listed hubs, or infrastructure.

14. Moderation And Enforcement

We may review, edit, disable, remove, rate-limit, refuse, or investigate listings, accounts, records, generated files, downloads, or tool access when needed to protect users, operate the service, comply with law, prevent abuse, or enforce these Terms. We may also disable providers, imports, diagnostics, or generated outputs that create safety, legal, privacy, or operational concerns.

15. Third-Party Services

The service may use third-party providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, CAPTCHA, authentication, social login, storage, security, logging, DNS, and other technical functions. Your use of those services may also be subject to the providers' own terms and policies.

16. Service Availability

DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search is provided on an as is and as available basis. Hub status, user counts, share size, software names, uptime, reliability, and addresses can change between pinger cycles. We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

17. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and accuracy. We do not guarantee that listed hubs are safe, lawful, reachable, moderated, or suitable for any purpose.

18. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site operator, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, account access, hub traffic, reputation, business opportunity, or availability arising from use of or inability to use DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search.

19. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site operator from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your hub submissions, your account activity, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights or applicable law.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the service operator and the place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Any dispute will be handled in the forum required by applicable law or otherwise in the courts that have proper jurisdiction over the operator and the dispute.

21. Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms when application features, providers, legal requirements, or operational practices change. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

22. Severability And No Waiver

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce part of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.

23. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be sent through the contact or support information published on DC++ Hubs Directory – Public Hublist & Real-Time Hub Search.
