Collect the main public DNS record families for a DC++ hub hostname in one Direct Connect troubleshooting view.

Purpose

The overview resolves A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, SOA, and TXT records and groups the records that the hublist server can see for the submitted public hostname.

When To Use It

Audit a hostname before submitting or moving a hub.
Check whether IPv4, IPv6, and aliases agree.
Review authoritative nameserver and zone information after a DNS change.

Reading The Results

A and AAAA rows are the addresses clients can use. CNAME rows point to another name that must resolve. NS and SOA describe authority for the zone; MX and TXT can provide context but do not make a hub listener reachable.

Limitations

The overview reports public DNS records, not the health of the NMDC, NMDCS, ADC, or ADCS service. Resolver caches and TTL values can delay changes, and split DNS can give local users a different answer.
